Amitie in Torquay

I have seen lots of photos of this quilt.
****Sorry about the frosty photos****

My Hubby loved this pattern so it was bought. Maybe I might get to make it.

These are both great patterns to use up orphan blocks.

We had a lovely lunch their too.
Jen was also there and we had a good chat to her.
She liked how I had done the Gypsy Wife quilt with the groups Orphan Blocks.

I finally found the handles I needed/wanted to finish my BORO bag.

Don't they just go perfectly.
Now to get it sewn.

If you are around Torquay stop in at this lovely shop.
It is also a cafe that serves beautiful lunches.
Has for for the partners to sit and have a coffee while you shop.
The staff are friendly, it is open and bright.

A shopping visit to Amitie in Torquay

I was visiting my friend in Jan Juc on the weekend.
We took a very small drive to visit Amitie Patchwork shop.
I was quite surprised to see the size of it. A warehouse.

Of course I had to buy something
A peachy pink spotty fabric, a cute pink/blue animal design, my favourite thimble
and the GYPSY WIFE quilt pattern book.
I have been wanting to do this quilt for a couple of years.
I am getting closer.

I am making a quilt for a new born baby girl.
Using a cute pink jelly roll. I needed a blender so this white with pink and blue animals was perfect.
I have a design chosen and this will be used as the sashings...

Now to get started.

If you are ever in Torquay call in for a shop..
