Retreat time with Kilmore Quilters.

I was lucky enough to go away with 30 great ladies from the Kilmore Quilters for 4 days on a retreat.
We went to Toolangi. The atmosphere was fantastic with lots of stories, laughter and so much work being done. The food was the best I have ever had while being away. I wanted to stay.
I have already shown some of my work that I did.
Bon bons & blankets of love.
Here are some other things I was working on.
My Bow tie Quilt that was a class Andrea showed us last year. Of course mine is a little bit different than what was shown. I am still working on it...

I also taugh a couple of ladies how to crochet the easy Pussy Cat Blanket. Here are  the girls hard at work...

ANNIKA concentrating

Look at Annikas progress, Cathy starting out...

Liz enjoyed sitting by the fire doing her HEXIES

I managed to get my borders on my Quilters garden Quilt. It is now ready for quilting...

I am still working on my Compass Rose tablerunner and mat... That I was working on at my Phillip Island retreat... They are nearly finished.

My weekend at Phillip Island

I had a great time over the Mother's Day weekend at Phillip Island. The Patches group treated us well at The Island... There was about 130 women in attendance and all the classes were interesting and went well.
I spent up with bargains at the shops, ate well and sewed into the wee hours of the night...
I caught up with Kerryn from Christmas Creations...

We all know she doesn't like her photo taken. No Kerryn I won't show all the photos and embarrass  you.
Sorry Kerryn.  This will be the only one though.....

I also caught up with a lovely Mother daughter team, Margaret & Melanie, from the Yarra Valley. I hope to see more of them over the next year. I first met these lovely ladies last year and have been keeping in touch over Pineterst with Melanie. It was great to catch up with them....

My great tutor was Maureen Miller.

Her class was the Compass Rose table runner.

This is my progress so far.

This is where I got up to on Monday at my next sewing day..

Maureen did a fantastic job being our tutor with this class and I have put down for her leaf class next year.

This is my second choice for next years classes. A lovely appliqué quilt...

I can't wait to go to the Island next year. Hope I get in...

FNWF & SCRAP HAPPY SATURDAY & PET PROJECT SHOW

My Friday night was spent with my daughter doing a little machine & hand stitching. Spending time together was the best and more important.
We were celebrating my anniversary on Thursday and my birthday on Saturday. It was a good time spent together....

And this is what I got finished on Saturday for
Scrap Happy Saturday
My curved LOG CABIN

My Yellow casserole carrier
And a coaster made from the centre circle. These might go to the trade table or kept for gifts.
