Relaxing time camping with my Kawandi

We decided to go away camping with our daughter and family for a weekend.

Of course I took my sewing. The blue Kawandi tablecloth. A little bit was sewn

It was a really cold day so we needed to be close to the fire.

This kept us a little warmer in the evening

Happy Easter and Slow Stitching Sunday.

Wishing everyone a very happy Easter.

We are enjoying our weekend while I am sitting here stitching on this beautiful Sunday.

I am working on my sashiko

Here I am working on a special project for a friend.
We needed a little shade so my quilts came in handy.

Oh it must be happy hour.
A nice G&T. Thinking of you Sue.

All settled in.

Trying to get the van level was a task.

An old gold mine shaft.

Hard Hill reserve. Wedderburn.

Another beautiful sunset

After my brothers we went and camped at this lovely beach. Dundee beach.

Travelling with my brother, Graeme and a wonderful friend. Thanks Tanya and Terry and Trent. (Terry, Trent and my wonderful brother Graeme are here but avoiding the photos)

We also saw this magical sunset. Without crowds. It was stunning.

I know it's late

I know it is late but I got this from where I work. They were handed out for Easter. I couldn't let it sit there all day so I ate it all up. Lucky I got a photo.

I haven't caught up on all the blog reading over the last 2 weeks. Hubby and I had a few days away with the motorbike group he is a member of. Camping at the local lake. Easter up here is the busiest time of the year and all the locals get out of town. So we went with them.
There were 6 vans, campers and swags. And a group of 13 friends.

Enjoying time with friends and a great campsite.

A bit of a yummy snack for lunch

HAPPY AUSTRALIA DAY

I went away camping on the weekend with some friends. Sue & Les. It's the first time we have taken Basil and camped with no power. GREENS LAKE, COROP.
Thank you Sue and Les for a fun time. I'm so glad we finally got to get away with you. Hope there will be more fun times in the future.
Camp is all set up
Trying to stay in the shade
It went ok. BUT our new generator wasn't powerful enough for what we wanted. Luckily our friends could help us out.... Now we have to sell the generator and buy a bigger one.
We did some Kayaking.... That was fun.
Don't we look the part. Best part is we didn't fall out.....
The grandchildren came for a visit and had fun swimming.
All knitted up with life jackets. Thanks Michelle.

The boys having fun

Sue and I did some sewing. Sue is doing HEXIES and I started on my Gail Pan stitchery.

Here we are hard at work... I think we have got some sun
Sue's hexagons are growing and are going to look fantastic
