There are some lovely people in the world.

A friend from down the street brings me some flowers from her garden every year. 

She says I get the first bunch of the lot.

Lorraine also just received a Citizen of the Year award. She does so much for everyone in the town.

 I think this is who will be getting the quilt I am working on at the moment.

I have been making and sending off Aussie Hero quilts for about 18 months now. One happy recipient, Michelle, was so thrilled she posted me a lovely gift.

A lovely hand stitched wall hanging, beautiful smelling soap
and half square triangle sewing papers with fabric to use them..

Gift 1.....I love the wall hanging. It is hand appliqued and hand quilted. Just lovely. I am getting an old blanket box from my mums house soon so this will be used as a cover for it. I think the colours will really suit. The butterflies at cute.
Gift 2....A beautiful smelling cake of soap was included. It is white pine scented and made by Castelbel in Portugal..
Gift 3....A paper pattern for quick stitched half square triangles. I have not used this method so I'll give it a try. Denice also included some fabric so I can get started ASAP.
I wonder what I'll make them in to...

We knew who our partner was so we could talk, ask questions and follow their blog to find out their interests... We had to make a bag, stocking or Santa sack. Then make 5 gifts to be wrapped and stay there until we got the go ahead with opening day when everyone had received their parcels...
Well Sarah I love the bag and especially the cute fabric.
 I can't wait to open these. It's great I'll have a good pile of goodies to open come Xmas day.
