Quilts I have finished

This is a Gypsy Wife quilt that I made with orphan blocks and donations of neutrals from the group and finally bound.

It was donated to Wings for Kids for a raffle and they raised $400.

Another quilt made with donated blocks. I assembled the quilt, another member quilted it and someone else bound it. This also went to a charity in town to raffle off. This will happen early next year so I will let you know the results.

Here is the quilt panel that was quilted by a member and bound by another. This is now in the charity pile.

This is the charity pile so far…

Donations and Devils Marbles

I had a lovely friend visit me today and I passed on some beautiful quilts and knitted beanies for charity. Barb will pass them on to a couple of places. Just a couple named are KOGO & The Northern Hospital.

All my donations get passed on to depts and not just charity bins in parking lots. They all are cherished.

Thanks to Barb for passing the following on.

So today’s lots are…..

Lots of baby beanies made by Jenni have been passed on to the hospital.

Crochet blankets & jumpers made by me have been passed on to KOGO.

Quilts & receiving blankets made by Margaret have been passed on to St Kilda Mums and the Northern Hospital

Thanks for everyone’s donations for me to pass onto charities I support.

NOW MORE ON MY  TRIP

The Devil’s Marbles.

These are just amazing rock formations by the side of the road.

They are huge round rocks, stacked on top of one another…

Look at the red colour. Just amazing.
These remind me of the rock formations that were near where I used to live. Tooborac, Victoria, Australia

Spotlight bargains & CHARITY BLOCKS.

Our group has been busily making charity blocks.
Now it is up to me to get them sewn together to make more quilts.
Well, we have been given quite a lot of blocks another workshop has happened to sew them together.

I have also been approved by my quilt group for a donation of $250 to go towards the charity quilts.
So off to spotlight I went.
86.75metres later and $333. I'm sure I have enough fabric to last and make quite  a lot of charity quilts. The group has a roll of pur cotton wadding to supply as well.
I am sew lucky that I can now sew away and it not cost anything for my hobby and I am helping others out at the same time....
