What have I been doing

I have had a great quiet week at home. So one day I cleaned out my wardrobe. I filled the rubbish bin too. Why do we hold on to things that ar old, torn, stained and don't fit?  I don't know!!!!
I also spent 2 days outside weeding, digging out stumps, having a bonfire before the restrictions came in and just a general clean up.
Now for something fun
Catching up on some finishes. Getting things out of the cupboard and stitching.
So here I have 24 finishes for OPAM......

Put them in with a dishcloth and my little gifts for those unexpected moments are ready.

Now to finish these decorations.

I have my parcel wrapped for tomorrow's friendly group at Gisborne...
It's a mini Xmas Swap...
What will I get....

At home for the weekend

I came home from a lovely week away on  Friday and joined in on FNWF.....
It was a relaxing night doing some stitching and knitting..
Firstly, I sewed up all 12 of the dishcloths I made while I was away... They are great to go in the gift box & I just love using them myself. The new flower pattern was very quick and easy to follow. I am happy with the way they have turned out..
You can get the pattern from HERE

After they were done I went on with some little stitcheries that have been sitting around for a while. It's time to get them done..... They now need to be put into some cute decorations....

Then for some secret sewing.......

Grab a cuppa and have a look at what everyone else got up to...

Thanks Chez for the SAL......

My weekend continued with sewing binding, binding and binding on my AUSSIE HERO QUILT. This quilt is a QAYG. A new technique for me and lots of binding... A whole 676".....
I have been making these for a few months now and get great pleasure out of it. I find the challenge of new ideas is what keeps me interested....

So for slow Sunday stitching I am linking up with Kathy and many more...

And for Monday link ups have a look here

Play day

I have had a good day playing with a block I had to do.
It is a Halloween swap, mug rug swap, gift swap and another present. I have doubled up because the dates have allowed it. It all fits in which is good....
I don't do Halloween but I have had fun with these...
What do you all think?
Good enough for a gift?????

I also finished sewing up my youngest grandsons jumper.

Then I did a little sewing down binding finishing off some mug rugs.
These little beauties are for a friend organising "PINK STUMPS DAY". A fundraiser day for breast cancer held at her cricket club next year... So far we have made about 170.

And to finish off the night watching tv I have finished a cute cotton dishcloth for a friend.

I am linking up FNWF and stitching away.
Go and have a look at what everyone is doing  here with CHERYLL

Knitting face washers & dishcloths

I bought some fancy yarn called "GIGGLES". So I decided to make a face washer. They are also used as dishcloths. The are quite thick and wash well.
If they last a while I might make some more for gifts.
I found the pattern over in Pinterest
