I like these finishes....

First up is the jumper I showed earlierr in the week. I managed to spread the wool enough to get it finished. It looks good too.
Size 26"

I went to work on my X stitches on Friday night and finished the 3 of them. Boy I get into a mess when I use glue...

Family near and far.

FAMILY FAR...
On Easter Saturday it would have been my mums 75th birthday. Unfortunately this is the first of many we have to get through. We have memories.  Missing you...
This is a lovely photo of mum when I took her out to lunch for her birthday one year not too long ago
Happy birthday mum.

FAMILY NEAR...
I just love looking at all my photos. After seeing some of our granddaughter it came to me that there was one of my husband very similar. Yes, there is a very strong family likeness.
What do you think..

My day in the city.

what a great day we had.....
We walked, shopped, talked, ate and had fun.
We visited and geocached. Now that was a learning curve . Thanks to Sue & Mel...
Thanks to my driver for getting me there. She knew exactly where we were going. I had no idea. I did have a gift in hand....
This is what I gave.....

My stitched journal cover. I just love the pen holder. I did put in a pen instead of the pencil.
I also added some thread, some flavoured tea, a latte sachet and a knitted dishcloth.
I hope it was well received by Barb.
And what I received..... From Marg.
It is so lovely. Thank you.....

If you want to see what we got up to then have a look here for some great photos.
I didn't take my camera...
SHEZ,  Shez,  MEL  & SUE.
There are some great photos on these blogs.
We even got to visit with the QUEEN.
We had so much fun...

My  SLOW STITCHING SUNDAY  day was spent doing some x stitching and joining in here.
Well, I am so new to this cross stitch scene. I have finally tried something little. Nothing like the beautiful work I have seen here but none the less I have done something.
I made a little design in 2 sizes.  One in 18 count and the other might be 14 but I'm not too sure.
I can't believe everyone else's beautiful work in such a finer count of canvas.. They are all so inspiring.
Anyway here is what I have done..... It has taken me quite a while...
Thanks to Kaye for setting up this SAL

1XiAM with Narelle

I have finished making 2 more XMAS TABLE RUNNERS.
They are different sizes because that's all the fabric I had. With the larger one I put wadding in the middle. This was really easy to do.

If you want to make these table runners have a look at this tutorial

1XiAM for April

I have had some time to get into my sewing room. I spent hours cleaning it up and then sewing.... Yippee....
I made this for my grandsons. How cute is this.
They still need Santa to come to them but they don't have a chimney.
This solves the problem.
So I have now done my Xmas item for April.

And another OPAM

I have linked up

Today I am joining in with lots of other bloggers and linking up with
PEG & KRIS.
They have a great following with their OPAM (one project a month). The aim being to encourage all to try and finish at least one project a month to share with all our blogging friends.
I have already started the year out good so I hope I can keep it up.
Everyone's projects will be listed by the end of the month.
Look for my growing list at the top of this page under the Heading OPAM 2015

Next I want to be on top of things when I need some XMAS gifts. I have decided to join in with
NARELLE . So watch out between the 25th & the end of the month for a post about an XMAS item I have finished.

These are both new to me so I hope I can keep up and get it right.
