Pretty flowers

After all the rain we had the other weekend my plant by the front door has started to flower.

It is such a pretty pink flower.

A few things happening in April.

 I have a finish and it’s ready for Scrub Stitchin’. My binding is sewn. I love it too.

it looks so lovely laying on the green grass. The colours are so pretty.

I also have our sew along ready to piece together for Scrub Stitchin’.

too. Chooky and my adjusted Simply Serene.

And I have some secret sewing for Scrub Stitchin’.

I have been busy but I managed some PINK sewing for April.

too. This is a project I will work on soon. It will become a project bag with a clear plastic window front.

And I have these flowers popping up in my garden.

As for the Chookshed challenge # 10, mine was left as to do anything. This worked well and fits in perfect for Scrub Stitchin’. I have picked up a few new projects and a couple of old ones. I’ll choose at the end of the month to share more on my progress.

I am really looking forward to next week.

Placemat # 46

 My friend was trimming her flowers back the other week before the most terrible windy day. I was lucky enough to get some. They are pretty.

After finishing the baby quilt top I made another placemat. Instead of putting the scraps into a tub I sewed them up.

And my friend brought me another bunch of flowers. They are nearly past their time but are a pretty colour. 

A LOVELY SURPRISE FROM MY DAUGHTER

My daughter has been trying to move up here for the last few months. She can't travel due to COVID and is relying on my opinion when veiwing a property to rent. You need to act fast as houses are taken within a day or two of listing. She has applied for a few but no luck yet. We are waiting to hear back from 3 at the moment. When she has a signed lease she can travel without any troouble. She is missing us so sent these "luv you' & "thank you" flowers

They are lovely and it was a complete surprise. We love and miss the whole family so can't wait for them to be living nearby. Hopefully I have sorted the issue with the comments not being emailed to me....

Home made Sausage rolls

Believe it or not I have never made sausage rolls.

Here is my first attempt and they were delicious.

And something completely different...

I love BIRD OF PARADISE flowers.

My neighbours have plenty in their driveway and they let me cut a few for my table.

Super happy.

Another THANKYOU

My friend has gone overseas for a while and wanted to thank me for a goodbye dinner I made.

She is so sweet. I just love these flowers..

Next up was a lovely note from Lucy. A recipient of my Aussie Hero quilt.

It is always nice to get a THANKYOU. We put effort into support our service men/women.

So when we get thanked it puts a smile on our face and makes it all worthwhile.

SPRING IS IN THE AIR

Now we can all have a spring in our step. Hopefully the weather will improve. A little bit of sunshine and the sight of flowers surely makes you feel better. This is what I look at out my dining room window. Just so pretty

GOOD FRIENDS are hard to find

I just had a surprise visit from a very good friend. She doesn't live far from me and some times there are quite a few days without us seeing each other or talking. Then there are other times we see each other more than once a day. Today, well, it was a surprise. A very nice surprise. In her hand was a beautiful bunch of flowers for me.... Just because.....

Lovely strange flower

If you could say this in one description. A lovely looking, strange looking, waxy flower.

I have this strange flower appear in my rock garden. It is a pretty flower.
