A QUICK POST TO SHOW I AM STILL HERE
OKAY. I am doing a very small post now knowing my parcel has arrived.
My friend Linda who blogs at https://linda-koshka2quilts.blogspot.com/ (I haven't worked out how to insert a link yet)last year showing her village in the UK spread Xmas cheer by placing little angels around the streets.I decided to make her some to help a little with this years cheer.
I also sent her an early Xmas gift of the pot holder/mitt I made and recipe cards. I know she loved hem cause to told me so.... HAHA
I just had a ZOOM meeting with my daughter and her friends. Remember the old tupperware parties and Avon consultants.. Well now we have BRA fittings by ZOOM. As it is breast cancer awareness month annd we need to spread the word... why not do it by Zoom. Lauren was very helpful and is doing a private zoom chat/fitting with me too.
I have not studied the net for the style of bra but I am definetly going to try one. They do promise free exchange of any item purchased so if you get the size wrong you can exchange it. My daughter is very happy with hers. I know I struggle to find one that fits in the usual stores.
I might even consider holding my own virtual ZOOM BRA party. Any purchase is contributing a percentange to breast cancer awareness. If any one wants to know more let me know..
Go have a look https://www.intimo.com.au/
Do a self check or go get your routine check done. Dont put it off. I am due for my mamogram now..

Xmas pot holders and microwave bowl holders ready for gifts.
I'm making these pot holders for my quilt group Xmas gifts. Everyone going to the Xmas break up will receive one. I will also include 3 * recipe cards and maybe a chocolate.
I have quilted and cut out all the pads and fabric for the pockets. All I have to do is assemble them with sewing on lots of bias binding.
There are 35 cut out to sew.

We were talking at work about these holders. Some ladies hadn't heard of them, others use them and some more wanted them.
I've had a bit of fun making some microwave bowl holders.
They are made out of ALL cotton wadding, fabric & thread.
These are suitable for a couple of minutes in the microwave to reheat your food.
I started with a 10" square, marked the centre of the sides to mak darts. Mark 1" out from the centres and 2 1/4" towards the centre of the square. They are very quick and easy to make.
All in a stack ready to take to work.
Hopefully I'll sell some.

MY SANTA SACK SWAP
Back in June/July I signed up to be part of a SANTA Sack Swap.
http://santasackswap.blogspot.com.au
http://santasackswap.blogspot.com.au
We were assigned a partner then had to go about making 5 handmade gifts and a stocking/sack or tote to put the gifts in. These had to be done and posted by 25th November and not to be opened until XMAS day.
How hard was that. Having lots of presents sitting around for all that time.......
Anyway, this is what I sent my partner, Mel.

Here they all are ready to put in the Sack and post......
Here Is a sweet Mittens stitchery made into a table runner, 2 cotton knitted dishcloths, some tree ornaments and the large SANTA sack to put everything in.
Now someone else just has to fill it each year. How nice is that.......
A cute square bag, a fabric bowl filled with lollies and a hot chocolate drink pack, a double ended oven mitt and pot holder. I know Mel loves buttons so I gave her a pack of wooden XMAS buttons and then made her a button necklace. If she doesn't want to wear it she can cut the string and have lots of buttons to sew on her projects.

Initial Heart Swap
I have completed my gift for the Initial Heart Swap over at Gone Stitchin' with Cheryll.
The person who receives this is a secret so her initials have been covered up.
I am yet to get a treat for her to enjoy.
Here is what I will be posting soon.
There is a heart shaped double ended oven mitt with initials on it, heart shaped pot holder, scissor fob with initials & hearts on it, a woven heart pouch & an envelope made out of a heart shape.
I hope that she will enjoy using them.

Scrappy Oven Mitts
I have spent my day making 2 more scrappy double ended oven mitts.
These are great to use. My one has been well used & I think it needs replacing.
One day I might just get a new one.
The black / grey one is a gift for my friend &
the green one is for a friend who works at the local bank.
Then I decided to try some heart shaped pot holders.
I was given one of these years ago and I thought they were very cute.
I also used my scraps to get these done.
I know January is the blue month but I needed to get a gift done in another colour. They are still scrappy though.
Go on over to Soscrappy Saturday to see what she has been up to. There are many others that link to her blog so why don't you have a look.

Country Pot Holders
I recently did a machine quilting class at Kilmore Quilters with Jude Leibmann.
Jude is very talented. She gave us quite a few tips and designs to quilt.
So we didn't waste the fabric we had quilted Jude suggested it be used to make a hot pad.
I made mine into Pot Holders. I can use them for Xmas gifts.
I raw edged appliqued some hearts on as part of the quilting.
I put a pocket a pocket on the back to help with the grip.
My quilting design was of little all over hearts.

Kris Kringle
I had a good day at Kilmore Quilters on the weekend doing a machine quilting course.
Instead of just sewing on a scrap I turned my quilted piece into my Kris Kringle present I need for my Heathcote Quilters group.
I made a quilted pot holder, a coaster & a mug bag to go with the mug I bought. I hope the winner of this gift will like it.
