Surprise package from Sue.

A few days back I received another happy parcel. This time it was from the lovely Sue.
http://kiwikidspage.blogspot.com.au . I do really have to say thankyou to the generosity of my friends...

First up in the parcel were these sweet tiny beanies for the hospital.
Premie Knitted beanies.
Sue was busy making some humidicrib covers for our local hospital. They are so cute and will really make a difference.
What a cheeky monkey

Cute hippo and elephant for the babies

I knew Sue loved doing these puzzles so when 2 were returned to me I sent one to Sue and one to Val.  It's good to pass them around. Sue kindly sent me one back in return. I haven't done this one yet. I used to do them with my neighbour over Xmas and a drink. Now I might start one over winter. THANKS SUE. You didn't have to..

Back home and ready for FNSI with Wendy and loads of other crafters....

I have just got home from catching up with Sue and Shez at the Ballarine Patchworkers at Portarlington yesterday. They are a lovely group of women and I will enjoy going again another time. I didnt do much stitching so I haven't taken a photo of my work...
Sorry for the blurry photos. Not sure what happened this time. Anyway Sue wasn't very well and didn't stay too long. A sleep was needed. There seems to be a lot of the flu going around at the moment....
Sue is very interested in this quilt that was being shown.

Shez loving this wedding ring quilt..
Shez I just had to crop the photo.. I couldn't do it.....
The show and tell was lovely. I'm sure when Shez gets home there will be some photos shown on her blog... She took only a few this time.,we were busy laughing and talking. It was a good day.

I then headed off to my brothers for the night. Not long after I left sewing I realised I had left behind my portable wifi on charge. After a few phone calls I found that the group met again that evening so I could go back. Luckily my brothers was only 10 minutes away. Wifi retrieved and had a fun night. No stitching though...

Home now and ready for a nap BEFORE.......

Well tonight is the night.... FNSI...
I was supposed to be having a visitor and out for dinner but unfortunately she is very sick so is staying home in bed recovering.
But now for me I can join in...

More gifts I received....

I saw on Sue's blog she has tried some new clips for quilting....
http://kiwikidspage.blogspot.com.au/2015/12/and-so.html
Well isn't she so sweet.... She posted some to me for a gift..... I will be trying them...
Quilting clips from Sue to try

Then another friend made me some cute gifts....
A few years back I got out all me hand made Xmas decorations, quilts, table runners, tree skirts, wall hangings, table clothes ant placemats. It was so disappointing to find them all moody and rotten. Not sure how they got wet but they did. I tried washing, soaking and washing them but they didn't come good. They all went in the bin and after John I am slowly trying to make them all again. It takes a while to replace your own things when you are busy making gifts for everyone else. We always put ourselves last.... None the less I am getting there.
My sweet friend made this for me as she made it years ago as a gift. Now I have a replacement. It is special as I taught her how to sew and quilt. This is her first free motion quilted piece. Very special for me... Thanks Sue...
Sorry it's blurry. Not sure why...
