Making NODDERS with KERYN

This is what I got up to on Saturday.
After a fun Friday night being spoilt by Keryn and her hubby, Ross. I was looking forward to an exciting sewing day. I awoke to the beautiful smell of scones baking... Oh so yummy.
To start my day I came out to the kitchen to see the table set ready for the group that was soon to arrive...
All ready for morning tea.

The table is setThe view out the window was of the cute lambs. Yes, even the naughty one that were in the septic paddock. But we were assured by Ross they wouldn't get in there. Luckily there were no dramas, no one had to jump fences or chase them..

The students have arrived. Lorraine, a friend of Keryns who doesn't like her photo taken, Annie, who didn't go in the naughty corner and Mel. Some great blogging friends...

Busy busy busy

Well I have a few posts to catch up on. I might do a few and schedule them to cover me for the week so I have to catch up on and rest up.....
Yesterday, Thursday I had my usual accountants appointment nearly 2 hours away.
Yes, I know it's a bit of a drive but very worth it.. So over to Pakenham I go. Appointment over and I have organised to catch up with the lovely Keryn from
http://christmascreationsbykeryn.blogspot.com.au.
It was so funny when I called her to find out where she was. Here is the sign, town centre. Yep, you are going the right way, continue over the train line, through the roundabout, I'm at the next roundabout. Lights flash, I jump in the car. Turn right & right again. Here is my car. Follow me.
In the car I jump with Keryn following  I take her to a tradies cafe. A bit quieter than the Main Street but nice food. Did we have a chat and a laugh. It was a great time. Then Keryn gave me this lovely gift just because... Her excuse was CHRISTMAS IN JULY.... How sweet and THANKYOU SO MUCH.
Look at these lovelies.

Her beautiful little reindeer decoration that Keryn makes and sells in her shop and a lovely pin cushion. The wooden stand was made by a friend... How sweet are you Keryn, THANKYOU.....
Until next time...........

My weekend at Phillip Island

I had a great time over the Mother's Day weekend at Phillip Island. The Patches group treated us well at The Island... There was about 130 women in attendance and all the classes were interesting and went well.
I spent up with bargains at the shops, ate well and sewed into the wee hours of the night...
I caught up with Kerryn from Christmas Creations...

We all know she doesn't like her photo taken. No Kerryn I won't show all the photos and embarrass  you.
Sorry Kerryn.  This will be the only one though.....

I also caught up with a lovely Mother daughter team, Margaret & Melanie, from the Yarra Valley. I hope to see more of them over the next year. I first met these lovely ladies last year and have been keeping in touch over Pineterst with Melanie. It was great to catch up with them....

My great tutor was Maureen Miller.

Her class was the Compass Rose table runner.

This is my progress so far.

This is where I got up to on Monday at my next sewing day..

Maureen did a fantastic job being our tutor with this class and I have put down for her leaf class next year.

This is my second choice for next years classes. A lovely appliqué quilt...

I can't wait to go to the Island next year. Hope I get in...

This time I am linking up with Pink Doxies Pet Project

The whole venue was such a treat for all of us.
It was amazing and I hope to get the chance to do this again with the special friends that I have made this weekend.
Thankyou Millrosie group.
And a special thankyou goes to SHARON from
SHARON was the lovely lady who organised this wonderful weekend for all of us. Yes she was supposed to be there to share it wit us but unfortunately had some health issues. If there is another one, I'm sure she will make sure she will be there. And so you should.
Thankyou for giving me the opportunity to have a great weekend......
