OOPS Quilt show challenge entry photos now attached.

Well blogger has not been my friend. I could not upload the photos to my last post. I have spent a bit of time transferring my photos to the computer.

So here goes. I have copied my words and have added the photos...

On Sunday we held our quilt airing which is located at a local school.

The quilts are pegged over the fences and stair rails. Rope is tied between the trees to hang more. These are older used quilts which cannot be put in to our quilt exhibition. It’s just to get them out of the cupboards and air them.
Here are some overall photos. it was an extremely windy hot day.

We had 16 entries into the challenge. Black and white with 10% of colour.

Out for dinner, lovely food and more displays

I had a visitor stay for a couple of nights. So we all went out for dinner. We did have a fabulous time.

Had some beautiful food.

Beef and Guinness pies. Yummy

Garlic prawns. Delicious

Now back to the last of the displays. A lovely Hexy display. Some are very old.

A beautiful pixelation quilt.

A few entries from past challenges.

Quilters Fairy Godmother challenge.

Miniatures challenge

All the Rivers Run challenge.

And I caught Judy having a look around.

Well that’s it for the show. It was a great weekend and the first time we held it at the Red Cliffs Civic Centre. The venue was a great space and I hope we book it next time.
We had over 300 people attend which is the most we have had before. Considering it was Father’s Day weekend it was very successful.
Thankyou to everyone that participated.

Another round of quilts on display

Once again, we had so many quilts that here are some more in no particular order.

Here is Maxine’s quilt from a SAL with the Kilmore Kwilters.

And we all know about the twister quilt.

Here is the back of the next quilt

And the front.

The following 2 are Bonnie Hunters mystery. I still have to put the binding on mine.

And here was 2nd place.

Here is my hand quilted scrap quilt. This is now proudly being used on my bed.

One year we put mandala patterns in the newsletter for anyone to make. These were all embroidered. I think I have done 3 blocks. These colours are very pretty.

I think this was a round robin. Some of the rounds were. Start with any centre square you want. We had stars, pieced, appliqué, flowers and braid. These quilts came out so different.

Here is a round robin quilt too.

Another round robin entry.

This one was part of our round robin but done in rows.

Hexies are a theme

Hexies were popular

That’s it for the show entries. Next up was a fun night out and some more displays
