My Sunday... & Mondays FROST......

We have been waking up to a frost every morning.
We know winter is here.
The poor birds can't even get a drink. Their bird bath is frozen. So out we go and get the ice out, refill with water so we can watch the birds again.
Look at the solid block..
Look at this ice. It is so solid and cold....
We have turned the block upside down. You can she the Moulder shape of the birdbath

WE CAN REALLY TELL WINTER IS HERE......

I was lucky enough tor a friend to take me out to a local quilt show. It was in Daylesford in Central Victoria. It was held by the Spa Quilters.
There were some lovely stalls as well as a raffle quilt and members sewing away. A lovely afternoon.
The embers had made an entry quilt with sewn mini quilts on them..
The SPA QUILTERS welcome quilt.

Here are only a few of the quilts...
This hexagon quilt was hand stitched using the EPP method.

Hand quilting with PERLE thread was very popular at this show
Very effective keeping the hexagon theme.
I love the simple design of the yachts.
Great for the boys...
AND FOR THE BEAR LOVERS. VERY SUBTLE COLOURS
A great use of scraps to make all these FLYING GEESE.
I love the wedding rings on the background fabric.
The way the border colours are placed are stunning.

There are so many ways of making quilts, so many techniques, sizes and finishes.

We are a great, talented group of people.
