My Friday was spent sewing.

I have had a great day at home sewing today. I was supposed to be away at a sewing retreat but it was cancelled due to not enough numbers. So, what am I to do…… SEW, SEW, SEW……

Firstly I finished my blue placemats for charity. All I needed to do was sew the binding on.

These were the leftovers from my CHOOKSHED challenge project for this month.

Next up was to try Lou’s placemat pattern.

Manxgirl living and crafting down under. Loulee

First up I found my shop receipt dockets.

I picked out a few.

Then I tipped out my scrap bin and pulled out my pink scraps.

I sewed my scraps to the dockets.

Trimmed them down

I easily had 10 pieces made to suit the measurements following Lou’s pattern

I made 2 placemats. So have a look at Lou’s pattern and use up some scraps.

Make them for gifts or charity.

These will go to charity.

I’m linking up with FNSI

Since it was pink month over at Scrap Happy Saturday - May that’s what I used.

Goodbye to BLOG 2 PRINT. EDITED

When we got home from our holiday my daughter bought me these beautiful flowers

Now to say goodbye to Blog 2 print. I will have my last book printed to this point in 2024.
I have some great memories recorded in print from my blog.
Let’s hope we can find somewhere to continuing to print blog posts.
Keep on BLOGGING

UNFORTUNATELY I COULDN’T CONNECT TO BLOG2PRINT SO WAS UNABLE TO HAVE MY BOOK PRINTED.

Happy birthday Kristy and Mothers Day

We celebrated my daughter’s birthday which falls on Mother’s Day this year.

Always a special time. We gathered for dinner and shared gifts.

Having a few laughs and a cuddle with mum and dad.

Balloons are a very special reminder of family. Colours chosen accordingly. A cute flower.

Have to have a yummy cake

A beautiful native bunch of flowers

and a gift voucher purchased these for her entertaining area.
Testing to see if it worked.

And feeding the birds.

Now time for my gift.

Thank you Kristy. I love it. I am so excited but now I have to wait a while. It will be worth it though.

Edited: A visit to Bordertown to celebrate Judi’s birthday. Yes a special one.

Oops. I had the wrong time scheduled.

Photos are now attached.

On our trip to Bordertown we stopped at the wonderful painted silos at Lascelles.

A fun photo while driving to send to my daughter who was doing the same but in the other direction.

Our lunch stop in Warracknabeal

A gift from Chooky to Judy. The flowers name is MANY HAPPY RETURNS.
I thought it was very appropriate for such a special birthday.

All wrapped beautifully to gift.

After another Saturday morning zoomwith Chooky we headed off to the Mundulla Hotel for a birthday lunch celebration with Judy’s family and friends.

Alison had her beautiful shop in Eaglehawk for many years but is now only an online shop and quilting service.

Happy Birthday Judah. It was a great day and thanks so much for inviting us.
Hope there are many more to come

Arriving in Darwin, exploring and Dinner in Darwin with my brother Dennis

 On the way into Darwin.

We have arrived in Darwin at dinner time and my other brother Dennis and wife, On met us when we arrived. We had to jump on a transfer so couldn’t spend any time with them until the next day.

Got to the motel and we had a quick Chinese meal

and then back for some sleep.

Next day we had a fun time exploring

Down the waterfront for some lunch and a drink.

Oops, and another drink.

My two brothers Graeme, Dennis and myself.

Along our walk we saw this parrot hiding in a doorway. The colours are beautiful.

My brother and Jean had a room 2 floors up. We are just saying hi to each other.

It was time to get a transfer to the airport and head home.

We were given a lot of gifts on the train from the staff. It was not just my birthday but our 41st wedding anniversary. They are great reminders of our trip.

This was a 10 day holiday from when we left home and got back. It was not really a trip about seeing as many sights as we could. We have driven and ridden this way a couple of times. It was the 4th time I have been to Darwin. It was more about enjoying the journey and spending time with family and friends. It is a wonderful time and memory I will cherish forever.

My brother Russell from Bendigo to us to the train station to start and picked us up at the end. Thank you for going out of your way to do this. And thanks for the gift too.

On the way home we stopped at the Marong pub for lunch. We had a beautiful meal. We will go there again

So this trip was a wonderful holiday with many activities and celebrations.
We travelled by car, train, tram, planes, taxis, buses and Ubers. We were supposed to have a boat ride but due to weather conditions it was cancelled.
So I am calling my birthday holiday.
PLANES, TRAINS and AUTOMOBILES.
