A catch up lunch on a beautiful summers day...

I was staying at my friends in Jan Juc for a couple of nights. What a great time to take advantage and catch up with some lovely blooging friends too. We arranged to meet up for lunch at the Portarlington  Bakery. We had a yummy lunch, great conversation and some laughs.
The weather was beautiful. The bakery had a beautiful courtyard with plenty of shade...
Look at these beautiful ladies....
O'faigh, Shez, Jo & Sue

I'm sure there will be some photos on their blogs soon...

Thanks for a fun filled day....

more Pin Cushion blocks

February's block for the DOD MYSTERY Quilters Garden Row by Row quilt was to make PIN CUSHIONS.  HERE is the first one I received from Ann. Now I received another 2 in the mail.
The first of these was from Trudie.

And the second was from Sue. Sue added a few extras. Very kind. Included was 5 hand dyed embroidered threads and a pretty fat quarter. I feel very special.

HERE  are the ones I made.
The blocks for March were QUILTS IN THE GARDEN. They are all in the mail and I will be receiving some soon...
This months blocks are for the borders. We are nearly at the end of the swap. It is going to be a fun quilt when finished. http://dodmystery.blogspot.com.au

Here are the sewing machine girls with their pedals to the metal. Very productive group.

Sue and Liz did a fantastic job of looking after us. The food was fantastic, the accomodation was the best. I just loved the beds, room & shower. It was so relaxing.
The whole venue was such a treat for all of us.
It was amazing and I hope to get the chance to do this again with the special friends that I have made this weekend.
Thankyou Millrosie group.
And a special thankyou goes to SHARON from
SHARON was the lovely lady who organised this wonderful weekend for all of us. Yes she was supposed to be there to share it wit us but unfortunately had some health issues. If there is another one, I'm sure she will make sure she will be there. And so you should.
Thankyou for giving me the opportunity to have a great weekend......
