Knitting more Bunny Snuggles - updated

Oh here it is. I hadn’t got any further than the title.

So I love making little gifts for babies. I came across this great pattern for knitting Snuggle Bunnies.

I started making them one day on zoom the other week and I just kept knitting. I can get one done of an evening. All I need to do is to sew them up and put on their little faces.

This is one I made from a different yarn. I am happy with it so I’ll make some more.

I have tried some different yarns but this is my favourite. It is so soft.

I have this yarn I am going to use up. This is what I used to make face washers out of.
Chenille. They still come out soft but a bit thicker.

I pick up yarn when it is on sale. The last 2 balls I got from the op shop. Brand new and only $1.00 each.
I get 2 bunnies out of the chenille and only 1 from the giggles.

You can get the pattern from here…. https://www.lionbrand.com/products/knitting-pattern-bunny-blanket-buddy-1

Lovely message for my gift

I made a special gift for a special friend. We have known each other for many years as he is a friend of my daughters from school. There is also another special meaning for our friendship too. Anyway, his wife is expecting a little girl. When we were in Melbourne last we called in to have lunch but the cafe was not open due to staff shortages

but he was there doing other work. We knocked on the door and we went in for coffee. Gave him his gift, which he opened and loved.

Luke’s message was….. “ Great to see you both. Thank you so much for the presses! Xx

He got home and gave it to his wife and the message we received was super special.

“Just got home, …… started crying! She loved the presses. She said to say a big thank you ☺️! X”

Thanks Luke, we will always love and remember you.

You can’t ask for more than that…..

This was their gift…….

If anyone is in the area of Mount Macedon and wants a beautiful spot to grab a coffee, have a great view and enjoy the beautiful fresh air go to Top of the Mount Cafe. It is a very special place to me.

But please phone first as staff is very hard to get and sometimes is closed. Covid has hit hard so support the smaller businesses. His jam is divine. It is amazing to see the view and environment and the food is delicious.

If you know someone who needs a job please drop in to see Luke.

Can’t wait for the baby to be born….

A cute baby quilt and bunny buddy

Ok. So I made this quilt a few months ago knowing a friend was having a baby girl.

This cute quilt measures 36”*48” and used up a few leftovers.

But to go with it I knitted a very cute snuggly bunny. I used the same soft rainbow colour chenille wool. They match beautifully. This one has a bit more pink in it and it is perfect for a little girl.

I have also made a couple more in a different colour. These will be ok if the sex is unknown.

Here are the three of them together.

Baby bibs and other gifts.

One of my best and oldest friends recently became first time grandparents. I have been busy making some gifts for them. I already had a sample package put aside. I keep this for measurements and a reminder of how/what to do. So out came other supplies

I make these bibs out of a towel. It’s the easiest way. Buy a nice quality towel. Depending on the size I can get 6-8 bibs made. Cut the towel evenly. I then cut a 6” hole for the head. Add ribbing for the neck and add binding in the colour of your choice. No backing required because of the good towel used. The bibs can’t be pulled off easy and they cover a lot of the body front. Easy clean up.

I continued to make flannelette bandana bibs with the snap closures.
The holes cut from the towelling bibs I backed with flannelette and overlocked the edges. These became washable breast pads.
Also made, the new in thing, pee pee tents. To help when changing boys nappies.

And I love knitting these cuddle bunnies. I use soft thick yarn. Chenille works really well.

This is a super easy cute baby gift package.

A little knitting

I made these cute bunny snuggle blankets.
We have a few girls at work that are expecting babies so I'm using up some odd balls of yarn.
This is using a CHENNILE yarn.

Here is the link to a fast easy pattern you can make for a gift.

Look at this lovely Lacey scarf.
It's knitted on fine needles in a feather and fan design.
Guess what? It's made with used tea bag strings.
They are tea stained and that gives them all the lovely shades.
There are about 6,00o used.

No, I'm not the crazy one.
