More blog books printed

I was dealing with a lot at the end of 2024 as well as Blog 2Print went out of business. It took some time to source another company but Judy form Cornerstone creations had one done from IntoRealPages. She was happy with their service and quality. So I thought I would give them a go. She did say the books were about an inch taller than the other books we had previously had done.  I got online and had a look. Did all the things to get it started and waited for a discount coupon to be advertised. $US conversion to AUD$ is a killer. 2 years of blogs were ordered. With the coupon they roughly were the same $ as previously paid.

My books have arrived and yes they are of a good quality. There are a few differences. Not as many covers to choose from, I couldn’t find how to add a photo to the cover and they were taller. There was a cover page for every month too.

Another difference, I’m not sure how I did it, was the 2024 book had a collage of my photos on one of the first pages. I like this idea. The 2025 book didn’t.

The layouts are similar to the previous books I have.

Here they are all lined up together. I am so happy to have them all up to date. I get these as a Christmas present to myself. Yes they are costly but who knows if blogger will ever disappear and all is lost. I do enjoy looking through these at times. I even share them with friends when a topic comes up I know is in there.

Oh, you can also see my old kids books on the shelf too. Mmmm, we have a story book week challenge happening in April….

1st May CHOOKSHED challenge no. 5 with Deana

It’s the 1st of the month and Deana has spun the wheel. No. 5 has been drawn for us to work on this month.

Mine is to make these cute Kiwi blocks, designed and shared by Louise.

The thing is. What will I make with them?

Since I started blogging in 2013 I have been getting them printed into a book by BLOG 2 PRINT.

Sadly they are closing down but have given us all a last chance to get any printed for a discounted price.

We only have until May 15

I haven’t done any posts yet about my ‘0’ birthday and the Ghan trip.

So to finish of my last book I will do a week of posts to celebrate my wonderful birthday of 2024.

Catchup post. Japan in November posts. Blog book day

I was really slack a lot of 2023. I didn't sew much or even blog much. I did read other blogs but couldn't be bothered doing my own. I had a very busy year with other things going on so the other day I decided to get stuck into and add in a lot of posts that should have been done. The blog2print was a push offering 50% off until tomorrow helped. I have done my blog books. Yes, BOOKS. I had so many photos that I needed to do 2 books. Thankfully they were 50% off. I also decided to change the format, so my printing stayed in the correct spot in reference to the photos. This made so many more pages. Ill compare the 2 formats when I get them in the post.

My Japan trip took a lot of days up but are now all done. That was a challenge as there were over 1000 photos that I added. These all start back on 13.11.2023 if you want to go see a lot of photos of what I saw and where I went. I know it's not the same as being there but be warned.

VERY PHOTO HEAVY POSTS.

If you want to see a media video of the Yokohama Quilt show go to this post.

I have spent hours and days trying to catch up.

Sorry I missed zoom yesterday Chooky but I needed to focus and didn't check emails or my phone while doing this. I spent from when I got up to midnight on the computer. I got there. I have just only finished now. So off and do the following while watching some Quilt Show episodes on YouTube.

After I finished doing the blog2print I hope to trace out more of my Scrub Stitchin' bag

to look like this

then work on the next butterfly quilt.  This is sort of the layout I will go with. Now to start trimming, adding in filler blocks to make the rows the same width and working out the finished size.

Butterfly quilt no.1 has gone to be quilted by another member

That will be my Sunday gone and back to work on Monday after a few weeks off.

Birthday fat quarter parcels & my BLOG BOOK

My quilt group has a thing going on for any member that wants to take part. You put your name on the list at the start of the year , nominate a fat quarter you want and the year begins. My choice is BATIKs as I don’t have any. You get the list and each month at our gathering when it’s your birthday you receive fat quarter from everyone on the list. This year we have 17 on the list.

I have decided to make it fun and make a special gift wrapping for them.

Aren’t these fun. They are made out of one sheet of scrapbooking paper (a thick one). Then add a simple square to keep the top together. I have used this as the name tag too.

I think they are cute... These ones were for the January members. We don’t have anyone in February so I can get a lot of them made during this month to be ahead of time.

MY BLOG BOOK.

I had last years blog posts printed into a book. I was so excited when it arrived in the Mail. It’s not as big as all the other years. Just goes to show I didn’t do many posts or much sewing through the COVID year.

My blog is in print....

Since I have started blogging I try to get each year printed into a blog book. I had the first 2 done then the next one got away from me with life emergencies. This year I wanted to catch up. Sue over at http://kiwikidspage.blogspot.com.au Had hers done which spurred me on. Sue sent me a link for 30% off. This really helped. So now I have all 4 years in print. 2013, 2014, 2015 & now 2016...
This was my birthday present from my hubby and a celebration of being back to work. Very exciting.
The covers have come up lovely. Each photo has a special meaning. It puts a smile on my face every time I look at them. Great memories.
The pages are just so much fun to go back and read. Even if the Internet somehow disappears I still have a hard copy of my last 4 years in print.. What a diary to keep of all my life's happenings...

Such great mail today. Im EXCITED

I am so excited.
When I got home today I had a parcel waiting for me. I couldn't wait to open it and do a post about it. I had been expecting it.....
A few while ago on a blog somewhere I read about getting your blog put into a book.
I had a look into it and never got around to going through with it.
Then late one night I couldn't sleep so I had a play, hit the BUY button, paid, then had to sit and wait for the finished product.
Like I said.
I AM SO EXCITED AND SO HAPPY I DID IT.

Here is the front cover.

My introduction.

Contents pages.

Blog post pages.

The back cover.

There are 80 pages all up and it cost $65.
When you order it is in American Dollars so just beware.

So go on over and have a look.
It did take a while to sort it out but it is worth it.
I have already ordered my next book for the year of 2014.
You can choose the dates of what you want printed....

I had to use my lovely pin cushions that were gifts from Cheryl & Keryn as page stoppers. I do use them
