A quiet Boxing Day sewing.

We have had a very quiet Boxing Day. I spent it sewing while watching YouTube.

Tony was napping.

I kept on trimming my blocks which have taken ages and multiple attempts.

All blocks are now trimmed to 8 1/2”.
Now to play with layouts. I had some in mind but due to different amounts of coloured blocks I had to rethink. I did want the darker colours on the edge.

I was going to make it rectangular but the design would have been odd so it will now be square.

I then thought about one half being the brown border and the other the aqua.

The nurse has come to change Tony’s feet dressings. Healing is going better.

Better check to make sure they are all turned correctly. Now another idea has come to mind.

I think I like this border better…

I like the alternating colours for the border, too.

I like your last border. I always think a border should be darker to frame the design. But that's just me.
Glad Tony's foot is looking better!

The alternating border looks good. Great news that the feet are healing.

Quiet Boxing Days are the best. I too like the alternating blocks on the border. The beauty of a design wall.

nothing much happened here on boxing day - I think there was some cricket match on?>
Yep, the alternating blocks win.

Reasonably quiet here too, other than blueberry picking. Glad Tony is home. I can't make up my mind with the quilt, but it is so good to have a design wall. Mine gets used all the time..........uh, though at the moment I've very little mojo. Take care and hugs.
