CHAOS MYSTERY SEWALONG block 3

I had a day to sit and be in my own zone. I settled in to watch a few YouTube videos of Conquering Mount Scapmore. I am following and sewing along with this mystery using my green scraps.

Today was to sew block 3. We only needed 32 * 4.5” blocks.  Mmmm I was obviously distracted as I made double. Oh well. We are told any extras can go into the border.

1st up was to make 16 1/2 square triangles. I’m drawing the sewing lines with my little 1/2” ruler and frixion pen.

Next up was to sew another square and make a split 1/4 square triangle block.

All done and time for trimming. Love using my BLOC LOC ruler

Here are blocks 1, 2 & 3 all ready for the next step

I am just using whatever is in my scrap green bin.

Lovely to have a day to just sit and sew. I might have to get me one of those rulers.

It will be interesting to see the design evolve on this mystery. I haven’t invested in bloc loc rulers yet, just pressing the seams open on HST.

It takes a lot of confidence to do a mystery quilt! So far so good!!

Looks like it is going to be great. HST's are not my favorite to make, but you are persevering.
