This year for RAINBOW SCRAP CHALLENGE (RSC) I am not doing a quilt or set blocks but will focus on whatever is around. January is BLUE. Amongst my scraps and cleanup I found some crumbs already started as well as a zipper pocket for something already stitched.
These need to be finished.
Here is the scraps squares I found to do the outside.
Here is the zipper pouch done. The outside
And inside
I also want to make my little pincushion pot to stick my fancy pins in.
I bought these pins and the little pot on my trip to Japan. The girls on zoom think I should work in some sashiko.
Linking up with Angela for RSC.

Great idea to use up whatever is around - the pouch is a great make. xx
Sounds like a good plan to use up what is lying around.
Lovely pouch and a great idea.
That's what I've been doing, using whatever is around and now I'm thinking of donating scraps and fabric to just say "it's done."
I love the little pot. More sashiko on felt?
Anything Goes for RSC is a great idea. I've picked a very simple block topstitch this year, so hopefully I'll have time to complete some RSC UFOs as well. I've got plenty of them!
That’s a great idea. You’ve made a good start.
Great idea to go with what you have rather than starting a block collection. Love the wee pouch.
Nice job on sewing up the BLUE scrappy bits already in the works, Jo!
Great finish Jo.
The zipper pouch looks really pretty & practical. Great job!
Nice pouch! And, what cute pins those are.
