Okay, this has been on my Chookshed challenge list for far too long. 3rd time lucky. I did a Flip La K workshop and bought a few rulers. I wanted to keep the separated from my ordinary rulers as the have instruction booklets with them. So I decided I wanted to make a bag. Out came the fabric I used at the workshop. Batiks and hand dies and greens.
Next I had to decide on a layout for the 5 different rulers and the special embroidered topper my friend made. (the one I lost, found, lost and found again).
I had already made a few of the flying geese blocks. I wanted to incorporate a made block so I could easily see what the rulers made.
Here are the other 4 blocks
It is pretty intense working out all the measurements and how to assemble with clear pockets and zips. But here is the start of one side
And with the clear pockets on
So I am basing it on the T shape design bag that has 7 pockets. I am using the T shape but not adding the outside pockets. I am adding different size clear pockets on the outside front and back.
I need a bit of a rest after all that so the rest is yet to come soon.
As it being done in green I’m linking up with
