One of the members from my local quilting group held a workshop for Sashiko and Boro. I love this stitching technique. She organised kits for us and had pop up shop. $5.00 for the kits was all the weekend cost us.
Starting out on my fabric. This will pack a little purse.
Janet’s pop up shop with supplies for sale and many items made by her for inspiration.
The pouches we are making.
Here are the pouches and clothes the group made on day one.
We had a fun group of ladies. Some of these are the ladies I am going to Japan with again soon
I learnt how to sew the seams in to make beautiful corners. I finished this cloth at home that night.
Thanks Janet

The stitching on those little wallets - so pretty! Janet organized a nice little get together from the "reads" of it.
That sounds like a great way to spend the day!
This looks like a lovely event. What a great class and the finished items look great, too.
