So, while sitting beside my husband's bedside I have been busy tying teabag strings together and knitting.
I have finished one scarf.
And started tying and rolling for the next one. I am tying enough to weigh 45 grams to allow for different size strings, more knots and different thicknesses. This should be plenty.
One scarf is 180 cms long.
40sts knitted on no. 4.5 mm (old no.7’s) needles.
40 grams of yarn/tea bag threads.

LOL I was just cramming the latest batch of saved strings into my collection baggie the other day and I was thinking that your string knitting would be a great project to have for hospital visiting.
Good to see you with a smile. How is Tony doing?
That's a lot of tea bag strings. Happy knitting, you do really need to take something to do on those daily hospital visits. I do hope hubby's condition is improving, but by bit, I'm sending Get Well thoughts over the ditch.
You KNOW how much this intrigues me!! Good to have a time when you can visit with Tony and keep your hands busy. Good luck to him
Lou said exactly what I was about to say: my version
. . . I was just putting away some strings a friend gave me ...and I was thinking that your string knitting would be a great project if you are still needing to visit Tony in hospital...I hope he is making steady progress.
They are the perfect project for hospital visits. I showed one of your projects to my stitching group, especially one lady that is so creative, winning the “waste to art” competitions held locally. She reckons you’re bonkers. LOL. I hope Tony is gradually making improvements. Sending hugs.
Great project to do while visiting Tony.
Hope he’s improving.
Hugs 🤗
Such patience!!
That is amazing! I must google how that is done as I find it so fascinating. Well done Jo!
That looks like a good project to keep you busy, but is easy to carry. Great idea.
