Bow Ties is Quilted

My Monday friends have put together a quilt for a friend.
She is going through a tough time so needs a little TLC.
THIS IS WHAT WE DID.
A lovely 3d Bow Tie quilt in pastels.
We all pitched in with fabric. Jill advised, Rhonda assembled it, I quilted it & Barb bound and labelled it.

Joy was overwhelmed.
It was also her birthday.
It is a lovely quilt.  Well done girls

AUSSIE HERO QUILTS

I have been making quilts for the AUSSIE HEROS

and now am helping with making blocks to add to  quilts. Jan-Maree does a great job organising this. It takes a lot of time, emails & follow up communication.
Go and have a read. Find out all about it and enjoy the stories.

These are the blocks I have done.

I took part in a HALLOWEEN SWAP for the first time.

Have a look at this blog to see more.
This is my parcel I sent off to Frances.
I only sent one mug rug the other is for another gift.
Frances was thrilled with it and she sent me a photo of her Halloween set up. Just lovely.

Then I received from Jayne, Yorkshire Dales, UK, this lovely package.
Hasn't she done a great job with the cross stitch orname to and that fabric is so much fun.
I did enjoy this swap.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN TO EVERYONE THAT CELEBRATES.

PIF pay it forward

I signed up with Cheryll over at. http://stitchingcubbyhole.blogspot.com.au a while back for a fun bit of gift giving.
It was called PIF.

Here is what I received from CHERYLL
All so nicely wrapped up and ready to rip apart...

Look at the work CHERYLL has put into making these. They will get used quite a bit.
I will put more up about PIF soon. Once things settle down here a bit.
THANKYOU CHERYLL
It really did put a smile on my face at a time when it was needed. To receive a gift from someone for no reason is great. Keep up your good work of sharing and caring.
Please take the time to have a look at Cheryll's blog and all the good things she organises.

MY MUM

HERE IS MY MUM.
TUCKED UP AT HOME.
In her own bed where she can relax. She has now got the home oxygen unit but still has too organise a bottle so she can leave the house. Her arms and legs have lost their strength. Her spirits are very high. At least she can sleep and be comfortable.

More blocks have arrived and QUILT SHOW PREPARATIONS

I have received my 12" Log Cabin blocks.
My request was..... Cream tone on tone with grey, brown, black and a red centre.
Think MASCULINE.
I always get a lot of quilts done for children and females so I thought that this one would be for the guys. We only had to make 1 block but Traci is amazing and made me 2
They will go in the box til a nice little stash grows.

I have been busy this week organising my quilt for Heathcote Quilt show.
I have been putting on hanging sleeves & labels.
Preparing the bags to put them in with name and phone number on them.
I am putting in 4 quilts...
Here they are.....
