Hubby and I have wanted to try this restaurant for quite a while now. We finally went.
Hubby started with a crab and watermelon entree
And I had a crab dish.. delicious
We enjoyed wine, mains and desert.
A yummy crème caramel for hubby and a pav, choc dish for me.
Even though it wasn’t cheap it was a very special evening.
A taxi was called, the door was opened and off home we went.
A little bit of sewing.
Here is what I made to send to Maria. It was a fun little swap. We all like to get happy mail.
I know Maria likes going away in her caravan so this made me smile.
I have used this very large tea towel.
Many years ago I worked at a school camp and we had these tea towels. The washed up so nice and dried the dishes so good that the staff could buy some. I still have some in the cupboard and thought I’d share one with you.
It looks great on my oven. Hope it does on yours Maria.
And now I have started Bonnie Hunters Rhododendron Trail

The caravan tea-towel looks great!
Nice to see another Rhododendron Trail in progress. I've been working on the second clue today.
Tea towel exchange! It's so sad that international mail can't be happening - I'd love to do SOMETHING again!
The restaurant and those meals! Wow...
Very cute tea towel! Good luck on your Rhododendron Trail, too. Using the Accuquilt would really speed things up. Can't wait to see!
Looks like a lovely evening out. Sometimes you just have to treat yourselves.
The caravan towel is SO cute! I don't even have a caravan and I would love it, so I'll bet Maria is thrilled!
Oh, you brave people who make time for Bonnie's mystery during the holidays amaze me. But your Go! Big cutter would definitely simply the cutting. I sure love mine!
How lovely that hubby and you had a treat night out. Very cute caravan.
We all deserve a special treat once in a while - and good idea to taxi it.
The tea towel looks great!
Those cutters are certainly accurate - though I must admit I don't think about it for piecing . . perhaps I need to revisit that in 2022.
Love the applique on the Tea Towel - what a great idea! I'm pondering Rhodendron Trail, I have all fabric in stash except for the yellow... Oh dear....
Oh I love the tea towel thanks Jo. Can’t wait for the postie to deliver it. 👍😀…
Lovely evening out for Tony and you….
Won’t even look at Bonnies mystery , may be tempted….
Sounds as though you had a great meal and evening out. Special occasion? Or just glad to get out after lockdown? Love the caravan appliquéd on the kitchen towel. Real old school type of towel, reminds me of some my Mum had but hers were red and white. A super gift.
sometimes it's nice to splash out a little bit especially if the food is very good.
love Maria's tea towel!
Wonderful you and hubby had a special night out. Love the caravan kn the tea towel. Good luck with the mystery.
Oh, you look so pretty dressed up for dinner with your sweetheart. It looked pretty fancy too!
Maria will love her special gift. You are always so thoughtful.
Your towel looks great and I'm sure Maria will get many years of use from it.
Looks like you enjoyed your dinner.
Your dinner looks delicious. Was it a special occasion? Great minds…..I sent a caravan themed tea towel too. Yours is so cute. Have fun with your new project. I haven’t been game to do one of Bonnie’s as yet. I look forward to seeing yours grow.
Your meals look amazing, glad you enjoyed a special night together, love the tea towel, and perhaps i should think about that mystery, theres def no shortage of fabric here
The fancy dinner looks lovely..... Goodluck cutting out that quilt....
YOu two always find beautiful plated foods to show us. I am hungry now.
The little Kitchen Towel with the camp trailer on it is adorable. She will love it!
