Using up the very little scraps. Oh I must be mad

I didn’t want to just throw away these little scraps and wanted something easy to sew without having to think. I decide to just sew them on to this docket paper. These are working out like flying geese. Yes, I had lots of triangles left over from the twinkle twinkle quilt.

I’m not worried about colour placement as I am just using what is here.

I have a tub of orphan quilt blocks and thought I could use these strips as fillers when I put them altogether to make a quilt.

You are as mad as me Jo. I never need to buy fabric, just use more scraps. Have fun.

I like your flying geese idea, a great way to use up those tiny pieces.

What a fantastic idea. I’ve only seen strips added to receipts. I have loads of little triangles that need using. The other thing I liked was how Brenda stitched and flipped them onto squares and used as a border. They looked like little butterflies.

Better used than trashed... If you can get very lightweight vilene - that works too and you don't need to remove the paper....
Jude does that for string blocks

A very clever way to use up those triangles. I like the idea of these as filler strips for an orphan blocks quilt.
