Our quilt group is having a sal for the Storm at Sea quilt design. They bought a go cutter die for us to use to make things easier.
It still took hours to prepare and cut the shapes ready for our sewing day.

My friend was given a pile of fabric for our charity quilts. When she looked through there were a few pieces of fabric that could be used as cushions or blocks put into a quilt. Instead of cutting them apart we thought we could just quilt it as is. There was also enough of one fabric that would be suitable for the backing. As well as a suitable binding fabric too.
Now to get a member to quilt it.
I have continued with my stitching on this cute Scrub Stitchin’ pouch.
I have all the hand stitching done.
Now time to follow the pattern to assemble the pouch
I got the zip put in. YES I can do it.
The stitchery piece is appliquéd on and the pouch is complete
I have all my pieces cut out on the go cutter for this quilt but I need to have a few sailing ships to go in there too.
So I sat and had a play. Using up some scrap blues, which just happens to be the RSC colour for January.

Having fun with scraps. Not really knowing what I am doing. Just having a play.
I have started working on an old UFO. My Christmas Mini.
The pieces had all been embroidered and waiting to be joined together.
All pieces are now trimmed and ready for joining
I have picked up my stitching that was started a while ago.
Here is the start of today
And here is the end of today.
Every little bit helps.
Linking up with Kathy for slow stitching Sunday

Time to get this cutie out and do something with it.
I have just basted my Dalmatian Round Robin quilt ready for quilting.
I’m not sure how I will quilt it but I’ll give it a go. I’ll work it out as I sew along.
So I have pulled all my blues and started to cut the sizes required for them to be put through on Saturday. It is a slow job but I will get there.
Here is my plan
Starting with the outside border colours
And I am linking up with Angela for scrap happy Saturday with my scrappy blues

We went away for a few days to celebrate a friends 60th. It was a little bit of a drive but not too far. As we were spending a few days there we took our bus. We parked up then relaxed. Look at our view. Who couldn’t relax looking at that. We sat on the front porch and chilled out.
Time to go home and on the way we came across these little fellows.
