STORM @ SEA Go Cutting day

Our quilt group is having a sal for the Storm at Sea quilt design. They bought a go cutter die for us to use to make things easier.

It still took hours to prepare and cut the shapes ready for our sewing day.

And now I have them all cut and ready for our weekend of sewing.

It was also aSaturday so I am linking up with Angela from SoScrappy for Scrap Happy Saturday as this months colour is blue.

It is definitely still a very involved quilt. Have fun with it.

Although it took a long time, it must have saved hours compared with cutting each piece by hand.

Imagine how long it would have taken to hand cut all those pieces Jo????

Looks like some great progress was made.

That's a good start having everything cut and ready to go. Did you find the cutter easy to use, I've never used one, or even seen one. I believe they are very popular.

That was great to get it cut out that way. I have that die, but have yet to use it. I'll be interested in how you feel it all came together.

All of those gorgeous blues will be perfect for Storm at Sea. I've still never tried dies for quilting. Maybe one days soon...after I can get on top of all my projects. Happy quilting! -Andrea

Are you all making one quilt together? That is a fun idea! The Go cutter looks very handy for cutting out all the pieces you need.

Great idea to use the Go. Lots of work, but definitely quicker.
