I saw it on someone's blog last year and it was such a great idea... For the life of me I can't find where I saw it. If anyone knows what I'm talking about please let me know where it started.
The way it works you write down a list of 12 UFO projects. On the 1st of every month pull a number out of a jar. Or in my case I rolled 2 dice. The project next to that number is the one to work on that month.....
Firstly, I found this printable and thanks to Kelly for allowing me to post about it. I have included the link to print your own.
RESOLUTIONS UFO PRINTABLE |
Go and have a look at this site http://livelaughrowe.com/new-year-resolutions-printable/
Now for me to fill it out and start my first UFO project for 2016.
Secondly, here is my list
My list of UFO's is on the wall... |
Thirdly, the dice have been rolled..... NUMBER 4......
No. 4..... Crochet round baby shawl... |
Time to get my crochet hook out and finish this shawl. The stars are on my side as I do need it finished for the new granddaughter due soon....
This is where I left it when I stored it away... |
If anyone wants to join in just email and let me know.
I don't know how to do a linky thingy but hopefully there might be one or two bloggers that want to join in. I have put the list on my left hand side bar with each months number to do...
If I find out who did it last year I might be able to join them this year

I've seen this approach to UFOs a couple places on in blogland, but none of them are doing it this year. Good luck with your list.
I think this excellent idea and I admire those who can comply with the resolutions.
I'm a disaster ... never, ever I can follow lists the long run.
It will be fun then you scratching an item every month! I'll be cheering for you!
Hugs!
It is on the Crafty Quilter blog Funnily enough I was just reading it.
I do not have UFOs Just WIPs Good Luck
Wonderful idea Jo..think I will join you. Good luck with yours, will watch you cross them off the list and cheer!!!
Happy new year Jo!!
last year I did a similar thing and the blog it was on was http://www.allpeoplequilt.com/how-to-quilt/finishing/2016-ufo-challenge
they are also doing it this year, the above link will take you straight to it.
was a great idea and I ticked a few things off my list.
Wonderful idea ,when I get home in a couple of weeks, think I will join you too xx
You do realise that with two dice you will never roll 1. Maybe that was your thinking.... no nearly insane blocks, I do see that you have that twice tho'. Clever idea, knew Marina has done it, and think if it works it's really something to try. Sure you will keep to it Jo. Happy new year.
Also, statistically you will get 6, 7 and 8 coming out more than the higher and lower numbers.
I use playing cards for this kind of thing, pull out all of one suit and pick a card, any card! You can cover any number of projects from 2 to 52
Good luck with your goals this year. Half the fun is making the list!
Oh Jo, it looks like a wonderful shawl for a new baby. Is it close? I am talking about the baby and the shawl.
What a great idea I will have to give it a go. Happy crafting
