Birthday fat quarter happiness

I’m finally getting around to taking a photo of all the fat quarters I was given over the past 2 months for my birthday. I chose Batiks as I do not have any. I have not ever bought any for myself so what better way to get a good selection.

Don’t they look great

Oops, a late comer

Now, I have no idea what I will do with them but I am sure there will be a project or workshop that will turn up one day. I won’t or shouldn’t have to buy any more... or just maybe.

Thank you to the members of my quilt group.

Looks like a colorful birthday. I bought my first batiks on a shop hop with hubby's aunt back around 2002. They sat for years but once I started using them, I was hooked. No other fabric makes such beautifully pressed seams, which means they aid in the precision of your work.

Happy Burthday batiks indeed! You certainly have a great selection to get you started. One of my current RSC is using batiks, they are nice to work with.

Well, unless your friends all got together and collaborated on colors, you lucked out with this collection. I love using batiks. I think they do all the work for you. The colors, the way they press, the look. Just don't think you have to launder them to death before you use them to get the stiff out. Enjoy! And happy late birthday.

Happy birthday. I’m amazed at how the colours you have received work so well together. You’ll be able to make something stunning with them.
