NSW was going through terrible flooding and still is. We had been wanting to get away as it is nearing Xmas and our weekends are filled we thought we would try to see if we could make it to Junee. Hubby stopped there on his recent trip around Aust. and they found a licorice factory. Yummy. So off we headed. Then there were storms. There was a small clearer section in the middle of the sky, this is where we were headed.
A race against time. Look out to the left. We made it to Junee without too much rain which was good.
The clubs in NSW have curtesy buses so both Thursday and Friday nights we got lifts to the RSL clubs for dinner.Saturday morning, in between the rain, we walked about 500metres to the factory for breakfast and a lovely coffee. They did a good job. We looked around and we shopped too. Yep, the Xmas presents are bought. You could watch the licorice and chocolates being made.
Into the shop
Offered some tastings… mmmmmm yummmmy
Off into the Motor Museum next.

OOH! YUM! Two of my favourite things. LOL
Enjoy the motors.
So surprised you got from Mildura to Junee with so many parts flooded. Licorice factory looks like fun!
My word NSW is certainly getting some shocking weather. Pleased that you managed to get to your destination without going through horrendous rain. RSL meals take me back to some happy times we had with friends in both NZ and Australia. The RSL in Port Douglas was excellent I remember! Enjoy the liquorice - my favourite too.
Stormy weather to be travelling in..
Blue and I have visited the Licorice and Chocolate factory in Junee. So many delicious treats in there.....
What a great place to do the Christmas shopping.
Caught up on your posts, Jo. Neat sky photos despite the warnings in the dark clouds. I enjoyed reading about your outing and also your retreat. Museums are always such interesting places to visit.
A good idea to have some time away, and very interesting to learn about Spelt.
Mmmm yum. Bullets!!
Glad you had a nice time :)
You were lucky to dodge the storms. You are making me jealous, as it’s ages since we have been there and the licorice is sooo good.
