That is so neat , a great little display item ! I am so glad we don't have to lift those any more they weigh a ton :-)
Hi Jo,wow how interesting and so cute,Thankyou for sharing my friend xx
Wow! That is so neat! You don't see them anymore. I remember my grandmothers had heavy irons they sat on the wood stoves in the kitchen. They were small, too. Smaller than our electric irons. Heavy, too. I remember when they used them, they had a pot holder on the handle. I have no idea where they are today. Would sure hate to have one of them to fall on a toe! Ouch!
Oh my!!! What a treasure. Mine just :went" the other day...time for a new one. Geeesss they are getting expensive!
My MIL had several and they were all small - I guess if they'd been bigger they would have been too heavy to use. She used them as door stops, very effective. Thanks for sharing yours. You reminded me of the grand old girl.Hugs
How teeny is that ! What a treasure...
I have never seen one this small Jo , that is a real treasure :-) I bet it is still heavy though .
we have a few irons like that and numerous other styles from the old times around the house...........we use them as door stops...........
Jo that is the sweetest iron I have ever seen, what a beautiful thing of your mums to have...wonder where she got it from?
Thanks for taking the time to have a read and leave me a message.Have a great day
