Oh yes I have started a new project.
What can I say. Happy New Year, Happy New Project..
I have been following both Mari & Angela's blogs for a while now. They do some great sewing.
The 2 of them have teamed up this year with a Mystery rainbow Sampler for the year.
I have weakened and decided to join in. I'm not sure if I'll stick to Angela's colours for any of the blocks but I have planned to sew along with a colourway. Red, Grey & cream. Christmas theme.
I got all these fabrics on special for $2.50 per metre. I have quite a few of these colours so I'm sure I'll have enough to complete a quilt.
I'm not sure if I will make the quilt bigger or smaller or what/who it will be for.
Let's hope I keep on with it and get it finished.
All the pieces cut ready to sew.
3 Blocks completed.
Now I'll be waiting for next months block..
If you want to read about the basics you need to look at this post.

That's quite a complex-looking block, but I can see when I look closer that it is just HSTs in the corner sections. Very effective!
Oh very nice work Jo... lovely colours!
Your blocks are very pretty!
Beautiful blocks, Jo! I love the colors you chose. All of the blocks will look great in those fabrics. It's going to be a beautiful quilt!
What a great bargain! They are going to make lovely blocks and really could be for any time of year.
Yay! Another row mystery for you. Your fabrics are WONDERFUL!
Great blocks, lovely colours, they really suit the block. Just finishing a baby quilt, using a grey fabric the same or very similar to yours.
Good luck with the BOM, love the fabrics you have chosen, the blocks look amazing.
nice blocks..........
Beautiful blocks, with Christmas theme! I love the way you interpret the challenge!
I love your fabric/ color choices! And you have the BEST photos in your header! Everyone looks so happy.
Wow! Great price, and they look fantastic together. I really love the next post, with the cousins meeting each other for the first time. What a poignant moment. I saw you mention on Deana's blog that it's too hot for much anything right now. You could sit in a cool spot and watch a show or listen to music or a book and hand stitch some Dear Jane or Nearly Insane blocks. Small, so they won't cover you at all like doing binding, and totally portable to get in a breeze or air conditioning. :) We're in the middle of our winter here in Colorado.
Your blocks look great! I am following along as well but I am going to use the colours of the each month. Great fabric find!
Pretty blocks Jo, what lovely fabrics and colours,
Love the blocks - they twinkle :)
It's very pretty so far. I look forward to seeing your progress each month.
