After the beautiful gardens we continued on to Nippori Fabric Town. Janet was hoping to take us to a store called Tomato. When id hadn't opened on time we discovered it was a public holiday. Smaller stores had opened but not the chain stores. There were many other stores to explore.
We came across this little store where I found a lot of good things for bag making and zipper pulls.
Maxine and I found a cute little cafe for lunch.
Our view of the street below.
This was the size of the balcony.
Very skinny steps.
Shopping over and back to a sewing store in Shinjuku. This was a little display that had been made of the store. You can see the real life cotton cones in the background at the top.
It is so cute
these cotton reels and ribbon reels are so small.
A very cute and small cotton reel stand
The buttons are just pictures.
these jacket clasps were lovely.
These were even better. Especially for shawls or cardigans that you don't want to do the buttons up
Having a wine/beer for happy hour
Couldn't afford the 15 oysters for $66 even though they looked yummy
The girls on the street advertising themselves.
Finally some dinner. It was so good.
