EDITED... I have had a lot of queries of how I make these... go over to this post to see the measurements. Double ended oven mitts
The extra wadding I add in for the hands protection is a square of insulbrite wadding...
Last weekend I started sorting out my yellows tub and wondering what could I do you use it up. I wanted a project that could be finished and not just added to a pile of UFO's...
Start making some crumb block fabric on wadding...
Decision has been made. Mobile phone holders and double needle oven mitts.
I love using these oven mitts. I find that as soon as I make them they disappear for presents...
Do I add the flowers for a bit of decoration... mmmm I'll think on it. With or without ????
These are the rubbish scraps going in the bin. All my crumbs are used up...

Wow! Way to use 'em up ~~ and beautifully. The flowers to the phone holders were a nice touch. Fun! Have a great weekend, Jo!
What a lot of lovely little projects from a big pile of crumbs. So glad you used them ALL up.
Very pretty projects and very usable too.
What a fun array of yellow projects !
Great ideas! I need new pot-holders or oven mitts. Will have to look into using up some of my scraps like this.
What a great way to use up the crumb blocks. Love the floral touches on the oven mitts. The mobile phone holder is great too. Might have to make a few of those to protect the face of the phone in my purse.
Your projects are great - I really like those oven mitts, what a great gift idea. The flower buttons add a special touch I think as well.
Splendid scraps indeed! What great ideas, and they are beautiful.
Your projects are both such great ideas! I really like the oven mitts especially. Do you have a tutorial for them that you could suggest?
Nice work Jo! Good to have those used up and get something useful from them.
Three cheers for the finish with nothing but rubbish for the win
Perfect way to get rid of your pile. The oven mitts are so useful as well as cute. The phone holders are so handy and the flowers are a nice addition. Congrats on a tiny pile of scraps.
What a great idea for using your yellow scraps. Lovely finishes!
WOW! What an impressive use of scraps! I'll have to remember those oven mitts. And I never thought of sewing scraps to batting...I usually just sew crumbs together but I sure like your idea.
Wow, you are just so talented when it comes to sewing up things.... and quick!! I'm intrigued with the mobile phone holders and that ring you have in there
Also meant to ask if there is an easy way of sewing "crumbs" together ? do you cut them all to a size or how best to put all those odd pieces together? I got in such a mess the last time I tried to do that and it took me a whole day!! I'm beginning to think sewing is not my forte lol
Fantastic! Love both! You are so clever Jo x
You did a great job.
Great use of the scraps Jo, do you put special wadding in the pot holders? How do you get the crumbs to work out? They both look amazing.
what lovely oven gloves far to nice to dirty I bet most people hang them on the wall as a showpiece. What a good idea to sew them directly to the wadding will bear that in mind when I next play with my scraps. I see someone has already asked for a tutorial fingers crossed you do one. Phone holders great too
Thanks for the link to the pattern. What a great gift and use of your scraps.
Cool projects! I like your intention to not add to the pile of UFOs!
They are gorgeous Jo
Wonderful work and colours. I need to make new oven gloves and promised to make some for my daughter in law years ago :-( Thanks for the link.
Pretty and practical items....got to be happy with that. Love the oven gloves...must have a go at them with the overflowing scrap baskets.
Beautiful yellow projects! I'll be working with my yellow scraps today. There might have to be some crumb-making involved.
Great job Jo. Thanks for bringing your crumbs to FNwF too...xox
