SPF XMAS DINNER

Tonight is our quilt groups Xmas break up dinner. With the year that it has been or not been we can get together for a meal. We are expecting 35 people for dinner so my friend and I have made some gifts and we will be decorating the tables. We have been busy making homemade paper with seedlings in them. Then all you need to do is to place them under the soil and water them. Hopefully the will grow some flowers. Gettingour table setup.
getting supplies organised.
Table ready for drying
Starting the process. Paper has been pulped.
Here is our seed paper drying
Next on the list was to finish our choc oranges. My friend dried sliced oranges in her dehydrater. Now we spent the day dipping one side of the oranges into chocolate.... white and milk...
We had also made jar opening cloths. These are made of the shelf liner rubber and backed with pretty fabric..
This was the label I made to attach to the front of the package..
and here is the finished gift that will be on the table as place settings on the tables for when everyone arrives....

Oh, I envy you being able to get together with friends! The gifts are fun and will be a hit I am sure. Enjoy yourselves and raise a glass to those of us in deep lockdown

Such lovely gifts for all your quilting friends! They will be much appreciated, I'm sure. Trying to imagine how much noise a group of 35 excited quilting friends will be making at your outing! Meeting and greeting, opening the gifts, enjoying the meal together, and maybe a little show and tell as well!

What a great idea with those seeds, and a great collection of goodies, and being homemade all the better and meaningful. Well done and great to be able to finally meet up together. What a year it has been, and us Aussies have had it so much better than other parts of the world, and am so thankful.
