Farmers Wife blocks 80 & 44

Block 80 was easy to do but probably not a good choice of contrasting fabrics.

The block looks good though.

Now for no. 44

Little Gracie surrounded by orange and green.

This is a very cute block.

Here they are so far all together.
There is not much contrast in some of the blocks but overall I’m very happy.

Very nice--that is cute the way the green fabric in the second block appears to echo the fabric in "Grace's" dress.
I did a small quilt with 30s fabrics once, and sometimes you just don't get the contrast you are used to, but I think that is part of the charm of the look.

I am loving this project! And really, the blocks with low contrast seem to let the eyes rest a little. LOVE this!

Very nice indeed. I've only ever done one project with 30s fabrics, I was gifted a small collection and made a pretty cot quilt. Given away to a new Mum in the wider family, and sadly never acknowledged.
