15.11.2023 a day to explore Kichijoji part 1

This post is photo heavy as it a record of my trip. We ad time to explore the area on our own.

1st up I chose to have a traditional breakfast at the motel

Headed out for a walk. They have these drain markers all over Japan. Some mark where the sewerage, fire and water is.

Looking through the shopping centres at the shops and food available.

looking at the names of shops and buildings was interesting.

Uniqlo is a very popular shop. Sort of like a Myer.

I found this cardigan I liked and ended up buying it. $30 is very cheap for wool. It looks lovely over a dress. Perfect for an evening in Midura.

The levels of the store. We all know I get lost easy.

These vending machines are all over. On the corners of streets, at train stations and many other places.

I ended up having a peaceful walk past the zoo.

 and into Inokashira Park.

There was a morning group doing Tai Chi

Many temples/shrines were about.

Being november the leaves were turning their beautiful Autumn colours.

More vending machines. You could buy hot and cold drinks.

Look at all the birds perched on the poles.

My lunch before meeting up with the others.

I also found a shop like our 7 eleven and saw the prices of alcohol.

To convert to Aust $, due to the conversion rate not being very different, it was just as easy to put in a decimal point on their prices. eg.... 2187 yen became $21.87 approx. depending on rate at the time it would have been only a little bit more. (the other price is with tax.. sometimes we were charged this other times not)
