20.11.2023 Sashiko Workshop

 This was a day we were all waiting for. A 2 hour Sashiko workshop in the home of a stitcher.

Happily stitching away making our coasters.

On to step 4. It looks a bit different to the sample as I was using a thinner thread.

Time to go back in the taxi. Do you like the lace seat covers?

Over to the shopping centre for lunch

All you can eat for 2000yen and all you can drink for 1680yen.. Only condition is you only have 90 minutes.

We only bought 1 glass of wine.

After we were refreshed, we went to a Japanese ryokan with onsen bath house. Yes, we stripped off to our nothings and bathed together. It was so relaxing and an experience. I'm so glad I did it.

Now on to the Kyoto Tower for some tea.

 a "Love Potion" was enjoyed

I had some banana and chocolate pancakes with a beer.

I had a "Botanical Garden" cocktail

The steps on the way to the top were all lit up

We then went to the top to view the tower and its lights.

Then back in our room to enjoy a wine
