18.11.2023 Shopping day at the Nishiki market, Nomura fabric shop, shopping centre and more, lots more......

Today was a big day out for walking. It was also the coolest day with it only being about 14-15 deg c. It wasn't really that bad as we did walk a lot of steps.

Daimaru store was about to open and there were shoppers already cueing up as if it was going to be a Boxing day sale. There was no sale either. Sometimes there is a ceremony when opening so we waited to see. But nothing today.

The shop awnings had these pictures hanging for decorations.

Back to the fabric shop

Walking the streets near Nishiki market. Look at the power lines. So many just hanging very low.

Beautiful bonsai trees everywhere to add greenery.

Lovely architecture

In the market

It went on for ages and we didn't even get to see half of it.

More Bonsai

We wanted to book in for a tea ceremony but they had already booked out

Custard filled pancakes.. yummy

popular food stalls with prawns and fish deep fried on a stick

Huge amounts of fish and prawns on a stick. Tempura, battered and crumbed. All deep fried.

This was the worker in a shop. They love their little animals.

Beautiful Bonsai everywhere

This was a display in the shop window. Very funny.

We are starting a long walk to head for the Yasaka Shrine

Beautiful crysanthemums

Isn't this 7 yo girl absolutely gorgeous? Such a pretty pink kimono.

This would have been fun to be taken around in so my feet didn't get sore.

We made it to the shrine

A wedding was being performed and everyone just stood and watched.

Professional phots being taken

A food stand was operated out of this window in the fence.

The local roads are very skinny and the cars just drive on through. You are supposed to walk on the edges of the road and not past the white lines.

Another lucky couple been taken around

Thought this shop was a funny name. It made me laugh.

We made it back to our room absolutely exhausted. Our feet were throbbing.
Maxine suggested a bit of relaxation for our feet. Put them up the wall. Well that was a bit hard to do in such a small space.

After a bit of rest we went to the shopping centre food court for tea. Look at the Christmas decorations

The shopping centre steps are all painted with pictures.

An Indian dinner was yummy but a bit spicy

The model train shop with a full size train set for shoppers to play with.

Turned our bathroom into our laundry
