On the way into Darwin.
We have arrived in Darwin at dinner time and my other brother Dennis and wife, On met us when we arrived. We had to jump on a transfer so couldn’t spend any time with them until the next day.
Got to the motel and we had a quick Chinese meal
and then back for some sleep.
Next day we had a fun time exploring
Down the waterfront for some lunch and a drink.
Oops, and another drink.
My two brothers Graeme, Dennis and myself.
Along our walk we saw this parrot hiding in a doorway. The colours are beautiful.
My brother and Jean had a room 2 floors up. We are just saying hi to each other.
It was time to get a transfer to the airport and head home.
We were given a lot of gifts on the train from the staff. It was not just my birthday but our 41st wedding anniversary. They are great reminders of our trip.
This was a 10 day holiday from when we left home and got back. It was not really a trip about seeing as many sights as we could. We have driven and ridden this way a couple of times. It was the 4th time I have been to Darwin. It was more about enjoying the journey and spending time with family and friends. It is a wonderful time and memory I will cherish forever.
My brother Russell from Bendigo to us to the train station to start and picked us up at the end. Thank you for going out of your way to do this. And thanks for the gift too.
On the way home we stopped at the Marong pub for lunch. We had a beautiful meal. We will go there again
So this trip was a wonderful holiday with many activities and celebrations.
We travelled by car, train, tram, planes, taxis, buses and Ubers. We were supposed to have a boat ride but due to weather conditions it was cancelled.
So I am calling my birthday holiday.
PLANES, TRAINS and AUTOMOBILES.

Love the line...it was about the journey and spending time with family and freinds. Pretty much speaks to what a great time and thanks for sharing it too.
What a wonderful birthday trip you had, certainly one to remember. Robin had his birthday on board the Indian Pacific train trip and was given a few goodies too, plus a little cake with a candle.
Forty-one years, Jo? Congratulations to you two and happy late birthday wishes.
