I have been knitting for charity and another crochet blanket..

I am heading of to Kilmore for a quilt in day. One of my friends, Liz, is knitting squares for charity. I thought I would make some to take along and pass on. I have so much odd wool. 1 ball of lots of colours from my mums stash. Mum always made for charity so I will continue until it's all gone...
So when I want something to just pick up and do I knit a square.
Here is my pile of 22.

When I finish the squares I use the left overs on a crochet blanket. It is a pattern that Lyn gave me and it is so easy. It will take a while to finish as I only do it when I have a scrap of yarn left over. It will grow slowly but I won't have to sew any squares together. Easy.....

How nice to continue making squares and rows with your Mums wool to donate to charity.

I have not even had time to read quilt blogs these past few months. Yesterday, I decided to catch up with blog friends and I LOVE the progress you are making on your Splendid Sampler blocks as well as your Dear Jane. Those quilts will be GORGEOUS! I also love that you are using up your sweet "mum"'s supplies. What that must mean to her even though she is on the other side now.
